Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy in Los Angeles and online

Ketamine can create a temporary shift in perspective, but the medicine is not the whole treatment. Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, or KAP, combines medical care with preparation, supported medicine sessions, and integration.

I offer KAP remotely throughout California and through home visits in Los Angeles.

Before, during, and after

Preparation helps us clarify what brings you to KAP, discuss expectations, and plan for the practical and emotional parts of the session. During the medicine session, I remain present as your psychotherapist and support the process without forcing it in a particular direction.

Integration helps you make sense of what emerged and connect it to your relationships, choices, and daily life. A powerful experience can matter, but change usually depends on what you are able to notice and practice afterward.

Remote KAP, from a space that feels like yours

For some people, being at home makes it easier to settle into the experience. Your own surroundings, a familiar blanket, and a private place to rest afterward can offer a sense of comfort. I love offering remote KAP because it allows us to do this work together while you remain in a space you know.

How a virtual session works

After medical clearance and preparation, you take your prescribed medication according to your medical provider’s instructions while I stay with you by secure video throughout the session. Beforehand, we plan your space, privacy, support-person arrangements, and what to do if the connection drops. Afterward, we meet for integration to explore the experience and how it relates to your everyday life.

Can remote KAP be effective?

Research on at-home, telehealth-supported ketamine is promising. A 2024 observational study found improvements in depression symptoms. It did not compare remote treatment with in-person care or test my approach to KAP specifically. Results vary, and we’ll consider whether this format fits your needs and review how you’re responding as we go.

Medical care and clinical fit

I partner with Journey Clinical, a medical provider that supports ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. Their licensed medical clinicians assess whether ketamine is appropriate for you and manage prescribing and medical follow-up. I provide the psychotherapy. I do not prescribe ketamine or determine medical eligibility. A consultation with me does not guarantee a prescription, a KAP session, or a particular outcome.

My KAP training includes Polaris Insight Center and Journey Clinical. I provide psychotherapy under supervision through the Center for Mindful Psychotherapy.

Frequently asked questions

Where do sessions take place?

Sessions are available remotely throughout California and as home visits in Los Angeles. We’ll discuss which format is appropriate for you, including privacy, your space, support-person arrangements, and other practical requirements before scheduling.

Can I schedule KAP without becoming a therapy client?

KAP requires assessment, preparation, and an ongoing psychotherapy plan. We will use the consultation to discuss what you are looking for and whether I can appropriately provide that care.

Does ketamine work for everyone?

No treatment works for everyone. Medical eligibility, psychological readiness, and the usefulness of KAP for your goals must be considered individually.

What happens after a medicine session?

We schedule integration to discuss the experience, identify what feels meaningful, and consider how it relates to your ongoing therapy and life outside the session.

Getting started

We’ll begin with a conversation about your goals, preparation, and whether remote or in-home sessions are a fit. You can find session lengths, psychotherapy rates, and details about separate medical fees on the Services and Fees page.
